
It’s that time of summer when the days are so long that the sun doesn’t set until 9pm. Rather than laze about at home after dinner, I occasionally go for brief walks around the neighbourhood with my camera.
I noticed the interesting texture of this building basked in the pink light of the setting sun and tried to frame a minimal photo of it, but none of the angles I tried worked. By the time I found the sweet spot, the pink light was already gone. Instead, I realized that this shot that included the cars passing by and the lampposts and wiring actually gave this photo a bit more context and added life to it.
